The New LG G3 Rumours

Design: The LG G3 is going big. With a 5.5” display, sporting a whopping 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. You can expect a killer viewing experience. When it comes to the body, there are two main speculations. Firstly, that the G3 will have a matte polycarbonate back, with a brushed metal exterior. And secondly, that the body will be available in choice of black, white or gold. Either way, it’s rumoured that the design will be water and dust resistant…

Camera: It’s expected that the LG G3 will feature a 13 megapixel rear camera, and a 2.4 megapixel front camera. This device is also rumoured to feature 4K video recording.

Further specs: Rumour has it, the LG G3 will run on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and feature an octa-core version of the LG G2 processor. The version will have four cores clocked at 2.2GHz, and the other four clocked at 1.7GHz, giving the new G3 a sizeable boost over the G2. When it comes to memory, it’s expected that the G3 will have 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with an expandable memory card slot.

Most exciting speculations: Apparently LG are considering bio-metric authentication, which could mean that the LG G3 will feature a fingerprint or eye scanner. Further rumours suggest that the LG G3 will be heavily focused on personalisation. It will be able to learn your usage patterns and adapt its interface based on you. A further feature may be contextual information. For example, when you check the weather forecast on the G3, it may say “you may want to take an umbrella, since rain is expected this afternoon.”

Down to business:
Price: Price still remains unknown. Although LG were the third mobile manufacturer for the last two, affordable Google Nexus Smartphones – the 4 and 5. It’s likely that their own G3 smartphone will be at a more premium cost. However for a flagship phone, we can’t complain. But, if you’re looking for a lower-priced, top smartphone, the LG G3 still may be the smartphone for you, as past models have slightly undercut Samsung and HTC rivals.

Release Date: Allegedly, the LG G3 will be launched on the 27th of May.
