Vodafone has introduced WiFi Calling, compatible with the new Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus and available to those on Pay monthly Red or Red Value Bundle, Red+ or Business Premier pay plans.

With Vodafone WiFi Calling you’ll be able to make and receive calls, even with little or no mobile reception, as long as you have a good WiFi connection. Better yet, there is no additional charge for using the WiFi calling service. Any calls you make will come out of your existing monthly minute’s allowance – as normal calls would via a mobile signal.

All in all, the new feature means you can stay connected in even more areas than before, including the London Underground – just connect to the WiFi service available in over 150 stations – at no extra cost.

Ready to get started?

1) Firstly ensure your iPhone’s software is up to date. You can do so by heading to Settings > General > Software Update.

2) Connect to a WiFi Signal.

3) Switch on WiFi Calling in your iPhone’s settings by heading to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling.

Your iPhone 6S or 6S Plus will now automatically connect to a WiFi network if it cannot find a mobile signal.
